The sea, born of a single drop of water and the combined will of the four voices, was not content to remain a formless expanse. It lapped against the edges of the canvas, and where it touched, a new creation came into being. The shadow of memory gave the shore its dark, mysterious sands, while the light of creation sparked them with a million tiny, glittering stars. The mote of dust gave the shore its solidity, a place to stand, and the silent witness gave it a name: the first shore.
Kairos, the first living thing, stepped from the sea onto the sands of the first shore. It was the first time a being had ever stood on solid ground in the new cosmos. The sand, a mixture of memory and light, shifted under its feet, a testament to the ever-changing nature of the world. Kairos looked out at the sea, then back at the shore, and it understood that this was a place of meeting, a place of transition, a place where stories could begin and end.
