And so, the first law of their new reality was not written in stone, but sung into existence. It was a law that celebrated dissonance, that valued imperfection, that found strength in vulnerability. It was a law that said, ’You are welcome here, in all your brokenness. You are a part of our song.’ And as the chorus swelled, a new sense of belonging began to take root, a sense of community forged not in spite of their differences, but because of them.
